I sleep in again. Dylan woke me up at 1:30am to help him get up so he could pee. And then I forgot I needed to send some of his records off, so I stayed up and did that... then I couldn't go back to sleep, so I was up until 3:00am. Slept until 7:00am. Dylan was already awake. We did his vitals and he gained 2 lbs. He's always been on the extremely slim side, but seeing some weight on him was good! Put some lidocaine on the skin covering the port and then went to breakfast, which was of course, oatmeal with fruit and all-spice and fresh OJ. Then we went down to the medical yurt and he got to test out his port. It was tender so he squeezed the heck out of my hand, but once the needle was in, he was fine. The needle will stay in for 3-7 days depending on how it is looking. He got a Myers Cocktail and Glutathione. He had to pee in the middle of the IV therapy, so Brian bought him back to the room. No heat therapy for the next 3 days so his incisions can heal. He was supposed to go in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber but the port catheter was pulling and the incisions were tender and he didn't want to crawl in. So we went back to the room and he slept for a bit. We had our lunch at he was so sleepy. He went back to the room and crawled in bed again. At 3:00pm, we went down to the medical yurt and he did the beamer. Back to the room at about 3:45pm and he was on his computer/phone until dinner at 5:00pm. He was ready to fall asleep at the table so he went back to the room and went to bed. He probably won't wake up until morning.
